🌿 Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed with “Ungu Nem” NGO, IRIM has successfully completed the “Baseline Study on Public Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices Regarding Waste Management.”

☘️ The objective of the study was to assess the understanding of household-level waste management, public attitudes, and actual waste-related practices among residents of six central districts in Ulaanbaatar. The findings serve as foundational data for informing stakeholders about public perceptions and for encouraging civic engagement in addressing waste management issues.

🌱 Although the study revealed a generally positive public attitude toward waste management, knowledge and practices remain weak, and access to infrastructure and information is insufficient. Therefore, improving waste management requires increased public participation and stronger policy support. Furthermore, the results of this study will serve as a baseline for future activities under the “Let’s Recycle – Go Recycle” social impact campaign.
