Consultative Meetings Engaged Stakeholders to Gather Diverse Perspectives on Gender Equality and Climate Change
The National Committee on Gender Equality, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and the Asian Development Bank, is organizing an “International Conference on the Nexus of Gender Equality and Climate Change” to be held in Ulaanbaatar on May 22–23, 2025. The conference will bring together over 150 representatives from 15 countries.
In the lead-up to the international conference, a series of consultative meetings were organized in Ulaanbaatar and across all 21 provinces in April. These consultations aim to raise awareness on the nexus of gender equality and climate change, highlight the significance and expected outcomes of the conference, and gather public input to inform the Call to Action that will be adopted at the international conference.
The consultative meetings and international conference are major activities organized under the technical assistance project titled "Enhancing Gender Equality for Rural Women and Girls through Climate-Resilient and Gender-Responsive Policies," with the IRIM serving as the project’s consultancy.
Further information about the international conference is available through the official website and social media platforms of the National Committee on Gender Equality.
