Urban Governance Project (UGP) is being implemented by the Municipality of Ulaanbaatar (MUB) and the Asia Foundation (TAF) with the financial support from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation’s (SDC) in order to improve access of Ulaanbaatar ger area residents to basic social services.  The UGP project is aimed to reach three main outcomes which are (i) to support the citizens to reflect their suggestions and feedbacks to the MUB’s decision, (ii) improve public services and, (iii) build capacity of MUB and its administrative organizations’ staffs.  

Within the scope of the third outcome, the Independent Research Institute of Mongolia (IRIM) have organized training on "Monitoring-Evaluation on the activities of the Public Administration Organization" for the Capital Archives Agency (CAA) and its affiliated organizations. 

Description of actual services provided by your staff within the assignment: 

  • Conducted desk review on current situation, legal environment of the archives and documentation sector 

  • Developed online survey tool for needs assessment survey and collected data 

  • Developed two day training agenda and 7 types of training presentation handouts based on the results of the needs assessment survey and requirements of the client. 

  • Developed 2 types of knowledge assessment test in order to measure the changes on the knowledge of participants after the training. 

  • Facilitated and organized two day training for CAA and its affiliated organization staffs, and granted certificate for each participants. 

  • Developed and submitted narrative report on the progress and organizations of the training in both English and Mongolian.
