From July to September 2021, the IRIM conducted the Survey in Mongolia, commissioned the German Association for the Transition to Agriculture (IAMO).

Since 2019, the National Reinsurance Company has developed the “Indexed Wheat Insurance” in cooperation with the German IAMO “Leibniz Institute for Transitional Economic Development” and the German-Mongolian cooperation based on its experience in providing wheat insurance and other types of indexed insurance.  Introduced in cooperation with the “Sustainable Agriculture” project, 387 enterprises and individuals were covered by the insurance.

The IRIM team collected data on 540 farmers who culivated wheat in the above-mentioned 12 provinces,  to know thie knowledge and attitudes towards agriculture and the crop based insurance in 2020.
