The IRIM has partnered with Give2Asia, a US-based international charity organization, to provide food and nutritious diet support packages to vulnerable families affected by the COVID-19. The project is being implemented to distribute food and nutrition assistance to 200 poor and vulnerable households with disabilities living in the ger districts of Songinokhairkhan and Nalaikh districts of the Ulaanbaatar city and Uvs, Selenge and Sukhbaatar aimags.

Within the assignment, IRIM has: 

  • Conducted needs assessment of the situation of households facing the COVID-19;
  • Distributed food and nutritious diet support packages to 200 target households;
  • Documented the provision of food assistance, and produced a video showing the need for further support for vulnerable households as the pandemic situation worsens and the economic crisis deepens.
