Description of the project: The study was conducted to identify employment practices among assistant herders, coverage and quality of basic social services, status of human rights and human development indices and provide recommendations.
Description of actual services provided by your staff within the assignment: In the study, a total of 1,244 herders – representing three groups (types); namely assistant herders, employer herders, and independent herders – participated. The Study employed both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. The Study included an optimal number of participants from each of the three herder groups; so, each consisted of about 400 herders (46% of whom were women).
