IRIM implemented the project on ‘Evaluation of the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (2017-2022), commissioned by the United Nations Development Program. The UNDAF 2017-2022, which supports the implementation of the Mongolia Sustainable Development Vision, was built around three strategic outcome areas, as follows:
- Promoting inclusive growth and sustainable management of natural resources
- Enhancing social protection and utilization of quality and equitable social services
- Fostering voice and strengthening accountability
The independent evaluation of the UNDAF 2017-2022 served two main purposes:
- Support greater accountability of the UN system for working effectively and in alignment with UN programming principles to contribute to agreed results in the UNDAF 2017-2022.
- Promote learning from the experience of implementing the current UNDAF 2017-2022 about what works, what doesn’t and why.
The evaluation projects has been completed between August and March 2022. Within the evaluation, in depth desk review was conducted. Also, Key Informant Interviews were held with representatives of Government organizations, Non-Government Organizations, and International Organizations. In addition, several validation meetings were held with stakeholders to confirm the preliminary and final results of the evaluation.
