IRIM has completed to conduct evaluation to assess success and impacts of the project “Cooperative Technical and Vocational Education and Training” (cTVET) commissioned by “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The goal of assignment is to assess success and impacts of the project cTVET in line with the standards and approach of the KOMPASS of the GIZ, which is part of GIZ‟s result-based monitoring system.  At the same time, the assessment team collected opinions and perceptions - of different project stakeholders - about the main results and effectiveness of the cTVET project through a qualitative approach.

The project is being successfully implemented in 7 polytechnic colleges of Darkhan-Uul, Dornod, Zavkhan, Umnugovi aimagsand Ulaanbaatar from March 2019 to February 2022 in order to improve Cooperative Technical and Vocational Education and Training in the field of construction, electrical and mechanical engineering by improving the system of professional teacher training and development, and developing a “Capacity Development Centres”.

The evaluation project has been completed between October and December 2021. Within the evaluation, in depth desk review will be conducted. Also, Key Informant Interviews, Focus Group Discussions were held with representatives of Government organizations, “Cooperative Technical and Vocational Education and Training” (cTVET), and Relevant sectors in 4 provinces and Ulaanbaatar city. In addition, several validation meetings were held with stakeholders to confirm the preliminary and final results of the evaluation.
