Under the Economic Governance for Equitable Growth (EG4EG) project, the Integrated Results-Based Management (IRBM)  activity aims to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and its officials, by giving staff a hands-on exposure to the IRBM system, as developed by the Centre for Development & Research in Evaluation (CeDRE) International (Malaysia).

IRIM shared the information on its website about the first mission of the project, which was successfully conducted from August 2017 to November 2017, and carried out an initial assessment and conducted an introductory workshop, which was followed by technical workshops on the IRBM system, results planning, budgeting and performance reporting by international and national consultant team.

The second mission of the IRBM project, which aims to support the MoF to review the Strategic Performance Plans and associated Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Plans along with key performance indicators, has been implementing successfully from March 2018. These Performance Plans will be enable the MoF to become IRBM compliant, in line with international best practices.

Within this project, IRIM’s consultant team cooperating with the international consultant, Ph.D. Aru, who has vast experience on IRBM system and served as a consultant for the adoption of the system in numbers of developing countries, to perform consultancy service task on technical assistance to MoF officials. The second mission will be completed by the end of June 2018 and the Departmental final and validated Strategic Performance Plans, M&E Plans, will be consolidated into one MoF Consolidated Performance Plan and will be presented to and discussed by the senior management of MoF. It is hoped that the adoption of the IRBM system and the consolidated MoF IRBM results-based Performance Plan, M&E Plan and Result based Budgets, will help further improve the MoF performance and alignment with the national development objectives.
