Employment opportunity: Project and research manager (1 position)

Starts: February 1, 2015

Ends: January 1, 2017 / Subject to extension by revision of contract/

Probation period: Up to 3 months

Level of Effort: Full-time

Venue: IRIM office, Ulaanbaatar Mongolia

The manager is responsible for the following major tasks:

1. Oversee, coordinate and actively engage in overall project planning, implementation, review and quality control;
2. Produce project and research reports in English and Mongolian and present results to Clients and other stakeholders;
3. Allocate internal and external resources to complete a project, including selection of freelancers and/or fieldwork partners;
4. Develop funding proposals for research, monitoring and evaluation and other consultancy works;
5. Manage development and public sector clients;
6. Participate in organizational internal activities.

Qualifications:

1. At least 5 years of relevant experience in undertaking development projects and/or managing research, monitoring and evaluation, and/or consulting services;
2. At least Master’s level degree in relevant field;
3. Demonstrated experience in implementing and directing research, monitoring and evaluation and consulting services;
4. Strong report writing and presentation skills;
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style; 6. Fluency in English and Mongolian is required.
